As these are seconds hand rails they may have some dead knots.
They would be ideal if you were cutting them down to shorter lengths.

They could be used as a base rail or as the base when using a 2 part hand rail to form a wider top section to form a shelf for drinks etc.
Customers have also used these in more rustic applications such as hand railis in wooded areas or boardwalk footpaths.
