Fence post sockets are metal hardware components used to securely connect, mount, and stabilize fence posts to foundations.
Descriptions & Types
- Bolt-down sockets are designed for fixing posts to existing hard surfaces such as concrete bases, patios, timber decking and masonry walls using suitable anchor fixings. Their robust clamp design securely grips the timber post, making them ideal where excavation is impractical.
- Spike sockets are driven directly into the ground, eliminating the need for concrete, and provide a fast, cost-effective installation for many domestic fencing and garden projects.
- Concrete-in sockets for post support are designed for use where the conditions prevent the use of the drive-in post support, such as very stoney or loose ground, or areas of hardstanding.
- Repair sockets allow damaged or rotten timber fence posts to be repaired without removing the original concrete footing by securing the remaining sound section of the post within a steel support.
- Socket extenders provide additional support where greater post stability or installation flexibility is required. These systems are suitable for a wide range of applications, including fencing, decking, pergolas, car ports, gazebos, signage and other timber structures.
